Announcements and News! - Updated 2/21/09
Off to a good start....

The excitement continues here at Aliyah as the Dallas kids have started their show careers with nice wins at the first 2008 HONYASC Lake Effect Show. Judge Steven Barbash presented our little red merle girl, "Tali"...Aliyah's Looking 4 A Few Good Men...with a BOBP, and her black tri brother, "Gunny"...Aliyah's Heartbreak Ridge...BOSP! What a thrilling start!

Impressive ASCA Major

The HONYASC 2008 Spring Has Sprung weekend was a long one for "Roper"...Aliyah's Ropin' The Wynd..., but finally a rewarding one. After making it to the Winners ring twice on Sunday, the last show proved to be worth the wait. From an impressive line up, Judge Victor Clemente gave Roper WD for his first ASCA 5 point major!

Just Dazzling!

2008 proved to be a busy year for one of our new girls, "Dazzle"...Mill Creek's Dazzl'em Aliyah. Out in Ohio with her handler, Sarah Bowdish, Dazzle surprised everyone when she earned WB/BOW/BOB from Judge Mildred Bryant at the Dan Emmett KC Show! Dazzle and Sarah finished the 2008 year "singled out", and will start looking for those majors in 2009.

Dual Champion...

The last few months of 2006 have been awesome for "Neo". He finished his AKC Championship at Oyster Bay under Judge Javier Sanchez the end of September. Then at the Heart Of New York ASC Lake Effect Show in December, Neo went WD/BOW under Judge Jim Burns for his 3rd 5 pt. major to finish his ASCA Championship!! We moved him up for the next two shows and he went BOB over specials under Judge Mary Diesem and BOB over specials again under Judge William Hossler. Our sincere thanks to these three judges for making this weekend such a memorable one and for giving us our dual champion....AKC/ASCA Ch Aliyah's Matrix Revolution DNA-CP (pictures to follow...when I get them from Heather)

Sexy Altered girls...

Cricket has continued her winning ways for the second half of 2006. At the HONYASC Dawg Daze of Summer shows in August, she went BOB-A over specials under Judges Ron Lambert & Barbara Ann Brooks, and BOS-A under Phyllis Lambert. These were very nice breed wins at 3 of the 5 shows that weekend, all of which were major pointed to boot!

The HONYASC Lake Effect Show weekend was a tough one for Cricket, as she was convinced that the pump that kept coming on somewhere in the building, was going to come and "pounce" on her. She didn't get her act together until the second show, going BOB-A over specials under Judge Mary Diesem and BOB-A over specials under Judge William Hossler.

At the Lake Effect Show on Saturday afternoon, Larry's little "redheaded girlfriend", Ruby, went WB/BOW for a 3 pt. major under Judge Mary Diesem. Not too bad for a "not so old" veteran!

First ASCA major win...Dar Dar's first show!

Just entered in the 6-9 puppy class for some experience, our newest little girl, Darla...MontRose Make Me Famous Aliyah (aka Dar Dar since her return to Kelsey), took a 4 pt. major under Judge Joy Graeme Messinger at the Friday evening show of the 2006 HONYASC Dawg Daze of Summer. Boy, were we surprised! She just walked into the ring like it was "old hat" and did everything she was asked to do. At the last show that weekend, she also took a RWB to a 5 pt. major under Judge Ron Lambert.

First AKC major win...

After a short break from the show ring, Diva (Aliyah It's All About Me) was entered 2 days at the Syracuse Leatherstocking Cluster. On the last day of the weekend, under Judge Joy Brewster, she took WB for a 3 pt. major.

All in all, for our show year of 2006, we want to thank all the judges that have given our dogs their wonderful placements. We also cannot say "Thank You" enough to our friend and handler, Marlene Slade, for all her hard work with training, grooming and handling our dogs. Marlene, you have certainly made all the difference in the world in the presentation of our dogs.

We wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season and a wonderfully exciting 2007!!!

Awesome News...

What is all the screaming, yelling and jumping all about at Aliyah Aussies? On June 22nd at the Wallkill KC show in New Paltz, NY., under Judge John J. Madieros....

"DALLAS" (AKC/ASCA Ch Aliyah's Semper Fi of Joywalk) went
BEST IN SHOW!!!!!!

Dallas Best in Show

His rather dazed and stunned owner, Kristin Elimini, called me that afternoon with the awesome news. She said that it seemed like the whole audience erupted with applause and screams when the judge called for the Aussie. Kristin said that even though you are working hard showing and hoping to get the placement, it still comes as a shock!

We are all sitting here with our glasses raised in celebration....Excellent, Kristin & Dallas.....just EXCELLENT!!!

2005-2006 Top 30 Altered Conformation
At the ASCA Nationals there are Invitational Conformation competitions...one for the Top 30 Intact and one for the Top 30 Altered Conformation Aussies, based on awards at competitions held between June 1st of one year until May 31st of the following year.

We are thrilled to announce that "Cricket"...aka "Kiki"...(AKC Ch/ ASCA Alt-Ch Hearthside Look At Me Aliyah) finished the 2005-2006 year as the #14 Altered Dog in the country, and has received her invitation to compete in the Silver Anniversary Invitationals at the 2006 ASCA Nationals in West Bend, WI this September.

It's a "clean sweep" for the April show!!
The first show of the HONYASC "Spring Has Sprung" weekend, Cricket hit the ring flying!! Looking the very best she has ever looked, thanks to our handler, Marlene Slade, Cricket took an impressive WB-BOW-BOB to finish her ASCA Altered Championship under Breeder Judge Emmy Adasiewicz!

Not one to just lay back and relax, Cricket went on to "sweep" BOB at all three of the next shows. We are thrilled to now be able to list her as a dual champion...

Cricket ASCA
AKC Ch/ ASCA Alt-Ch. Hearthside Look At Me Aliyah.

Our thanks to Judges Emmy Adasiewicz, Gerald Danaher, Denise & Keith Van Housen for their awards....and to Betsy Atkinson for giving Cricket to us as a replacement for Skye. She certainly has become the show dog that we had hope to have from the beginning.

Another ASCA Major
After sort of sleeping through his first "Spring Has Sprung" show, Neo (Aliyah's Matrix Revolution-AKC maj. ptd., ASCA maj. ptd.) was able to "climb" out of a very "deep" Open Black class for his second 5 point major. He wants to thank his favorite pink flamingo for all her help!....and of course to his favorite handler, Marlene.

The new kid on the block
For his first show appearance, with only 2 handling classes under his belt, Roper (Aliyah's Ropin' The Wynd...a Stoney-Tiya son), did exceptionally well by winning all the 2-4 Puppy Dog classes in both Sweeps and the 2 regular shows at the Saturday "Spring Has Sprung" shows. Roper was shown by his owner, our dear friend, Karen Soule of Henderson, NY. Nice job, Karen!! We missed seeing you on Sunday...but the other puppies didn't.
