Darby was one of the cutest puppies and could have won the "Pretty Baby" contest in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, he was also one that needed a "job" to do that was constructive, and chasing the horses at his first home was not it! I soon found him back on my doorstep, suitcase in paw.
Our friend, Karen Soule, who was doing agility with Jake, sent us her friend, Laurie Wicks, to look at Darby. Well, it was love at first sight. Darby absolutely adored Laurie. They had great fun together running agility, and earned quite a few titles. One of their favorite pastimes was going for walks at Southwick Beach with their buddies...Karen, Jake, and Jasper. The three Aussie boys were affectionately known as "Los Tres Amigos" and traveled many a mile together to the agility trials.
