AKC Ch/ ASCA Alt-Ch. Hearthside Look At Me Aliyah
AKC/ASCA Ch Arboretum's Ilex Montana X AKC/ ASCA Ch Hearthside Surfin'In The Sun

ASCA ranked the #5 Altered Aussie in the country for 2007

From the start, Cricket displayed her "look at me" attitude and precocious nature. Willful and a "Peck's bad little girl", she was and still is, a handful to show. Cricket finished her AKC championship with a flourish at the 2003 Del-otse-nango show in Syracuse going WB/BOW/BOS over Specials for a 3 pt. major.

We had hoped that Cricket would establish a solid foundation for Aliyah, but tragedy struck on her first litter, and she had to be spayed. We were able to save 5 wonderful puppies. Her daughter, "Diva"...Aliyah It's All About Me...remained here at Aliyah.

Continuing her show career in the ASCA Altered ring, under the expert hand of Marlene Slade, Cricket finished her Altered championship quickly going WB/BOW/BOB-A at the first show of the 2006 HONYASC Spring Has Sprung weekend. She quickly followed that impressive win by going BOB-A at the next three shows, to make it a 4 show sweep at BOB-A!!

Cricket finished the ASCA 2005-2006 show year as the #14 Altered Dog in the country, thus earning an invitation to the 2006 ASCA Nationals and an ASCA Certificate of Merit. As a multiple BOB-A over Specials, Cricket continued to show in the ASCA Altered ring into 2007.

By the end of the 2006-2007 show year, Cricket was the #5 Altered Dog in the country, and she received her second invitation to the Nationals, and this time we were able to go! At the High Plains ASC Pre-show, she was awarded one of only 5 Awards of Merit placements from an impressive entry of 17 dogs and 12 bitches. At the Top 30 Altered Invitaional, from an entry of 17, Cricket placed 5th. The 2007 Nationals BOB-A competition brought Cricket another stunning Award of Merit.

Now retired from the show ring, and dear to our hearts, she still captivates us with her smile...and silly squint.
